Start spreading the news,
I'm leaving today.
I want to be a part of it -
New York, New York.

These vagabond shoes
Are longing to stray
And step around the heart of it
New York, New York.

I want to wake up in a city,
That doesn't sleep,
To find I'm king of the hill- ah-
Top of the heap.

My little town blues
Are melting away
I'm gonna make a brand new start of it
In old New York.
If I can make it there,
I'd make it anywhere
It's up to you,
New York, New York.

New York, New York!

I want to wake up in a city,
That doesn't sleep,
To find I'm king of the hill,
Head of the list,
Cream of the crop
At top of the heap.

My little town blues
Are melting away
I'm gonna make a brand new start of it
In old New York.
If I can make it there,
I'd make it anywhere
Come on, come through,
New York, New York.

That song's been stuck in the back of my mind for almost a year. And now I can finally say......I'm leaving the day after tomorrow. ^^' I'd be quite happy if it were today, but hopefully tomorrow will fly by fairly quickly.

So...yeah. Won't be on DA or any other of my online sites for about a week......I'll probably be back on my birthday, which is next Monday. Expect multiple random photographs and a great many sketches....I've got to have some way to occupy my time since I get to spend around 13 hours on Monday and Friday both on a bus with two eleven year olds. Nothing funner than that. T_T But, it's worth it. So, until then, my friends!!!!!!!

..oh. One more thing.

I LOST THE GAME. Just for you, :iconpunkrocker180: XD Because you're special like that.

...and on a random note.......the little emoticon on my mood setting looks like its dancing to the song I'm listening to. 0_o Like, it's in PERFECT time with it. 0_o Totally not disturbing. *stares a few moments longer* 0_o...............er..yeah. Anyway.
...that is all.

The Rules~

: For each of the 15 first people answering this journal I will put their avatar and the three deviations I like from their gallery on the list.

: If you answer, you'll have to do the same in your journal, putting me on the first place, completing this way the list with 15 people. The idea of this is not to get a free feature, it is to spread art around for everyone.

Attention Band Geeks

  • Listening to: the music blaring from the carousel downtown...
  • Reading: things that make no sense...
  • Watching: letters appear on the screen before me
  • Eating: an apple shaped cookie from the band booth
This entry is for all my guys in or close to the JHS band. If you live anywhere near here you've probably already heard about the big newspaper fiasco, concerning the letter to the editor by Jennifer Marks that was in the Saturday edition of the Telegram. If you're in band, I KNOW you know. We spent all day Sunday griping about it, after all. I've also had several people outside of band complain about the unfairness of the whole deal. Well, here's the plan. Write back. Use a pen and the hands God gave ya and write responses to Ms.Mark's letter, giving your own opinions from an insider's point of view. The way we know things REALLY are. We need to defend ourselves, not to mention McCoy. Ms.Marks publicly humiliated us all without even bothering to check her facts. We don't have to take it.

Here's the groundrules.

: You can make your point, but BE CIVIL. Do not use any expressions or foul language that might reflect badly upon us, or McCoy. If you do, it won't get printed anyway.

: It's technically a letter to the editor, but DO NOT YELL AT THE EDITOR. Seriously, guys. He's my uncle. T_T He and my aunt technically have to print all letters to the editor which are deemed acceptable, which Ms.Marks's was. It's not their fault.

: Let our community know what's REALLY going on in our band program. That we're a happy and proud organization, and that we support each other as well as our dear McCoy. She has her moments, but you all know we love her. Keep your letters short and to the point, but say what you need to.

: Send your letters to the Jackson County Telegram, 920 Veteran's Drive, Jackson Ohio, 45640. Or you can email them to my uncle at mwilson@jcbipaper.com He already said it was okay.

Also, guys.......do your best at preformances these next several weeks. Don't give anyone else a chance to do anything like this.

I think I'm going to survive..

Well, today is officially the final day of the 69th Annual Jackson County Apple Festival, and I think, -think- that I'm going to survive. So far this week has been insane....band booth, parades, preformances, and then the stupid Apple Bowl last night ( though we actually won---JACKSON UNDEFEATED AFTER HALF A SEASON! *now THERE'S a miracle* ) Anyway, today it's raining cats and dogs outside ( and an occasional elephant ) , I have a headache the size of the Grand Canyon that has been growing steadily since I got up this morning, and we have the grand parade tonight. Whoopee.

......although I have to admit....Apple Festival went by really fast this year. And tomorrow morning when we all wake up and the streets of Jackson are all empty......it's going to be weird. Weird, and a little sad.

BUT THERE'S ALWAYS NEXT YEAR!

9-9-09

  • Reading: The 5 People You'll Meet In Heaven

.....okay, so my only real reason for posting a journal NOW is so the date will be 9-9-09, because I find that outrageously cool, but I also realized after looking at my last entry just what a pitifully long time it had been since I'd last updated this thing. ......ooopsie? ^^'' Anyway, I'm back to DA again, faithfully, probably for the long haul this time. Why? Shane Acker's 9 has me in complete and absolute obsessive mode....and I haven't even seen it yet. Probably won't get to til sometime next month. *grumbles* And yet I'm in love. With the characters, the animation, the story, the original short....I even love the pairing of 7x9, and I am NOT a shipper by nature. I'm even becoming fond of the pairing of 5x9, for Pete's sake! Granted, slash doesn't usually bother me regardless, but I don't usually support it. That's proof right there that I'm COMPLETELY lost...also hinting to the fact that maybe I should be slightly concerned. But whatever. 9 is awesome, I can't wait to see it, and so in the meantime, expect a lot of random 9 fancrap coming from me. I'll try to keep in touch more regularly from here on out, for awhile, at least.
